247Sports national recruiting insider Andrew Slater logged a new Crystal Ball pick for highly touted forward Emmitt Williams on Friday, predicting that the Florida native will ultimately commit to Oklahoma State.
Williams — a 6-foot-8 prospect — was one of the top post scorers and rebounders on the Nike circuit this summer and told the Herald-Leader and other media outlets that he was getting some interest from Kentucky and that it would be “a blessing” to get a scholarship offer from the Wildcats.
That offer has not yet come, though UK is still keeping tabs on Williams’ recruitment. He’s the No. 18 overall prospect in the class of 2018, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Florida, Florida State, Kansas and Louisiana State have also been mentioned among possible favorites for Williams, who has scholarship offers from all of those schools.
