The first 247Sports Crystal Ball pick for a Kentucky quarterback target since Jarren Williams decommitted over the weekend is in.
Kyle Goblirsch of the Minnesota-centric GopherIllustrated.com website is predicting that UK will land three-star quarterback Brennan Armstrong, the No. 1-ranked QB from the state of Ohio in the 2018 class.
UK assistant coach Vince Marrow reached out to Armstrong on Sunday, the same day Williams backed out of his commitment to Kentucky for a second time.
Goblirsch’s prediction is notable because Armstrong had been committed to Minnesota for nearly a year before backing out of that pledge earlier this month. Virginia has also been seen as a possible favorite in Armstrong’s recruitment.
The Herald-Leader talked to Ohio recruiting expert Bill Greene about Armstrong on Monday, and that story also includes information on other possible UK QB targets for the 2018 class. You can read it here.
