Ohio recruiting expert Bill Greene has logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Virginia for class of 2018 quarterback Brennan Armstrong, one of the first QBs to be linked to Kentucky following the decommitment of Jarren Williams earlier this month.
Armstrong — a 6-foot-2 prospect from Shelby, Ohio — recently decommitted from Minnesota. He is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 15 dual-threat quarterback in the 2018 class.
Kentucky reached out to Armstrong on the same day that Williams backed out of his commitment, but the Cats have not yet extended a scholarship offer to the Ohio native. UK has offered junior-college quarterback Terry Wilson and Texas high school quarterback Matthew Baldwin, and the Cats are continuing to scout other quarterbacks from the 2018 class.
Minnesota recruiting insider Kyle Goblirsch made a pro-UK Crystal Ball pick for Armstrong last week, but he has since changed that prediction to Virginia.
