Former Australian rules football player Max Duffy has committed to play football for Kentucky next season, according to Pro Kick Australia.

Duffy is a 24-year-old prospect who previously played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League. ProKicker.com ranks him as the No. 1 punter in the recruiting class of 2018, and he will be a scholarship player at Kentucky, according to the report from Pro Kick Australia.

UK’s current punter, Matt Panton, is a graduate transfer in his final season of eligibility. The Cats also have Grant McKinniss on scholarship at the position. McKinniss is sitting out as a redshirt this season and averaged 39.2 yards per punt as a freshman last fall.

Kentucky also has a commitment from high school kicker Chance Poore, who is expected to replace departing senior Austin MacGinnis as the Cats’ kicker next season.
