Four-star football recruit Leonard Taylor is expected to take his official visit to Louisville this weekend, and there’s a new prediction in favor of the Cardinals on his 247Sports Crystal Ball page.
Mike Hughes, who covers U of L for 247Sports, logged a pick for the Cardinals on Taylor’s page Thursday morning. A large majority of the predictions for Taylor have gone in favor of the Wildcats, who have been recruiting him for more than a year.
UK has been recruiting the versatile Taylor — a 6-foot-6 prospect from Ohio — as a defensive end, but he’s been projected as a tight end for most of his high school career.
Last week, Ohio analyst Bill Greene told the Herald-Leader that he thought UK was the leader for Taylor.
“A lot of it is going to be them coming to an understanding,” Greene said. “What I think will probably happen is they’ll tell Leonard, ‘Hey, you can come in and we’ll start you as a tight end. But, if things don’t go really well, would you be receptive to moving to the defensive side of the ball?’
“And I think that’s going to work out, and Leonard really likes Kentucky.”
Taylor took an official visit to UK last month and is expected to sign with a school on Feb. 7.
