Add ESPN national recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi to those predicting that No. 1 prospect James Wiseman will ultimately pick Kentucky.
Biancardi took questions from readers via Twitter on Tuesday, and one asked the longtime recruiting analyst and former college coach where he thought Wiseman would end up.
“If I had a crystal ball, I would say Kentucky,” Biancardi responded.
Wiseman — a 6-foot-11 power forward — is the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He played for new Memphis coach Penny Hardaway at both Memphis East High School and with Team Penny on Nike circuit, and his recruitment is now expected to come down to UK and Memphis.
Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi also wrote Monday that Kentucky has the behind-the-scenes buzz as the leader in Wiseman’s recruitment. UK Coach John Calipari and assistant coach Joel Justus met with Wiseman on Monday night. It was his first in-home recruiting visit of the spring.
Kentucky is a slight leader over Memphis on Wiseman’s 247Sports Crystal Ball page.
