Pendleton County basketball star Dontaie Allen will take his unofficial visit to Kentucky on June 10, his AAU team announced Friday night.
Allen — a 6-foot-7 forward — has had a tremendous spring with M.A.T.T.S. Mustangs, picking up scholarship offers from West Virginia, Purdue, Virginia Tech and Dayton this week, with other recent offers from Xavier, Nevada and Western Kentucky, among others.
UK and Louisville have also shown interest in his recruitment, and Wildcats assistant coach Joel Justus visited Allen at his high school earlier this spring. Allen is expected to play pickup ball alongside members of next season’s team when he visits Lexington.
Allen averaged 31.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game at Pendleton County last season, shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point range. 247Sports recently moved him up to the No. 154 overall ranking in the class of 2019.
