Top UK recruiting target James Wiseman is still the No. 1 overall basketball prospect in the class of 2019, according to the latest rankings update from ESPN.com Friday.

Wiseman — a 7-footer from Memphis East High School — is expected to choose either Kentucky or Memphis, where his former coach Penny Hardaway is now the head coach. Wiseman was the first player in the 2019 class to earn a UK scholarship offer.

UK target Vernon Carey is the No. 2 overall player in the 2019 rankings, and he’s followed by fellow UK targets Cole Anthony (No. 3), Matthew Hurt (No. 6), Bryan Antoine (No. 9), Scottie Lewis (No. 10), Jalen Lecque (No. 11), Aidan Igiehon (No. 21), Keion Brooks (No. 25) and Kira Lewis (No. 44).

Two early UK commitments are ranked in the top 20: Tyrese Maxey at No. 7 and DJ Jeffries at No. 19.

There are also two Kentuckians in the updated ESPN Top 100 rankings: Trinity guard David Johnson and No. 66 and University Heights guard KyKy Tandy at No. 88, though UK has not had any contact with either player in recent weeks.

ESPN also updated its class of 2020 rankings Friday morning. That list can be found here.
