Five-star post player Oscar Tshiebwe announced Sunday that he has narrowed his recruiting list to four schools.
Tshiebwe — a 6-foot-9, 230-pound center who plays for a high school in Pennsylvania — is now considering Kentucky, Baylor, Illinois and West Virginia. He cut Georgetown, Kansas, Mississippi and Virginia from his most recent list.
There has been no confirmation that UK has extended a scholarship offer to Tshiebwe, though John Calipari tracked him toward the end of the summer recruiting period.
Stockrisers.com reported Sunday that UK will host Tshiebwe for an official visit on the weekend of Sept. 28.
Tshiebwe has also already set official visits to Baylor and Illinois, and West Virginia has long been seen as the favorite in his recruitment, though a major push from Kentucky might change that perception. Last week, 247Sports moved Tshiebwe up 53 spots to the No. 19 overall position in its class of 2019 rankings.
