Kentucky will be one of the first schools to get a meeting with top-10 national basketball prospect Matthew Hurt when the fall recruiting period starts next weekend.
Coaches from UK, Duke and Kansas are scheduled to meet with the Minnesota native on Sept. 9, according to Stockrisers.com recruiting analyst Jake Weingarten. That is the first day of the fall recruiting period, when college coaches are permitted to be on the road for in-home and in-school visits with recruiting targets.
Hurt — a 6-foot-9 prospect from Rochester, Minn. — is the No. 6 overall player in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also considering North Carolina, UCLA, Indiana, Memphis and Minnesota.
