Igiehon — a native of Ireland who now plays for a high school in New York — recently narrowed his list of schools to U of L, Kentucky, Oregon and St. John’s. He’s already taken official visits to Louisville and Oregon, and he postponed a trip to St. John’s that was scheduled for his weekend.
UK Coach John Calipari met with Igiehon early in the fall recruiting period, though Kentucky has not seen him since and he is not considered a priority target for the Wildcats. Igiehon has not visited UK.
Louisville head coach Chris Mack, who already has five commitments for the class of 2019, has made Igiehon his top priority in the class, even flying to Ireland recently to meet with the player’s mother.
Igiehon is expected to make a college decision soon. He’s the No. 44 overall prospect in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
