UK football commitment Wandale Robinson moved up more than 100 spots in the latest 247Sports national recruiting rankings for the class of 2019, which were released Tuesday afternoon, and he’s now the No. 1-ranked prospect in the state of Kentucky.

Robinson — a standout player for Western Hills High School in Frankfort — is now ranked No. 117 overall, moving up 131 spots from the previous rankings. He’s now the No. 2 all-purpose back nationally. Robinson is expected to play slot receiver and be utilized out of the backfield — and in the return game — at UK.

There were a total of six Kentucky high school players in the new Top 247 rankings, though Robinson is the only one who has chosen the Wildcats. The other local recruits on the list are Stanford commitment Stephen Herron (No. 157), Notre Dame commitment Jacob Lacey (No. 163), Purdue commitment Milton Wright (No. 164), Alabama commitment Tanner Bowles (No. 175) and Virginia Tech commitment Bryan Hudson (No. 192).

Robinson was the only prospect in UK’s 20-player recruiting class to make the new 247Sports national rankings.
