UK Coach John Calipari and assistant coach Joel Justus were in Minnesota on Tuesday night for another trip to see Matthew Hurt, arguably the Cats’ top remaining target in the class of 2019.
Hurt — a 6-foot-9 forward — was in Lexington two weeks ago for the first official visit of his recruitment, and he took another visit to North Carolina this past weekend. Calipari has been to Minnesota several times over the past few months to visit with Hurt, who is the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
He’s expected to take additional official visits to Duke, Kansas and one other school — possibly Memphis — before making a college commitment in the spring.
