247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels has logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Villanova for five-star point guard Jeremy Roach, the first player at his position to land a UK scholarship offer in the class of 2020.
Roach — a 6-foot-2 prospect from Fairfax, Va. — is the No. 10 overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports rankings, and he’s already narrowed his list of schools to UK, Duke, North Carolina and Villanova.
Daniels is admittedly cautious with his Crystal Ball predictions, especially with younger players. His pick on Roach’s recruitment marks his first prediction for a 2020 recruit in more than two months. Roach is sitting out his junior season after suffering a serious knee injury this fall.
UK has also offered one other point guard in the class (Sharife Cooper of Georgia), and the Cats are expected to be among the favorites for 2020 combo guard RJ Hampton, the No. 6 overall player in the class.
