Five-star point guard Sharife Cooper is planning to visit Kentucky on Feb. 23 for the Wildcats’ home game against Auburn, according to national recruiting analyst Andrew Slater.
Cooper — a 6-foot-1 prospect from Marietta, Ga. — is also expecting to visit Duke soon, Slater reported after watching the class of 2020 recruit play at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass., on Monday afternoon. Cooper scored 27 points and dished out four assists to lead his team to a victory in the nationally televised game.
UK extended a scholarship offer to Cooper during a campus visit in the fall. He is the No. 21 overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Auburn is the early Crystal Ball leader for Cooper, who took an official visit to that school in October and also has scholarship offers from Florida, UCLA, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and several other programs. He plays his travel ball on the Nike circuit and was named the EYBL offensive player of the year last summer.
