247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer has logged a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Washington for five-star forward Jaden McDaniels, one of UK’s top remaining basketball targets in the class of 2019.
McDaniels — a 6-foot-10 prospect from Seattle — has narrowed his list to UK, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA and Washington, the hometown school. Earlier this week, five-star center Isaiah Stewart — a friend of McDaniels’ — announced his commitment to the Huskies and immediately said that he would start recruiting McDaniels to join him.
Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans has also been predicting that McDaniels will ultimately commit to Washington, telling the Herald-Leader earlier this week that he’s sticking with that pick for now.
“I think Washington is still the school to beat,” Evans said. “I think Kentucky is right there though. I think it’s those two schools, for the most part.”
Former UK point guard Quade Green transferred to Washington during the season and will be eligible to play for the Huskies starting in the second semester of the 2019-20 season.
