Five-star shooting guard Johnny Juzang, who recently announced that he is reclassifying to 2019, revealed Sunday evening that he has narrowed his recruitment to four schools schools.
Juzang — a 6-foot-6 prospect from Los Angeles — is down to Kansas, Kentucky, Oregon and Virginia, and UK is widely seen as the favorite. He is scheduled to begin his official visit to Lexington on Monday, and a college decision could come soon after that trip. He has no other official visits scheduled, and his only previous one was a trip to Virginia in the fall.
247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer is among many recruiting experts now predicting that Juzang will end up at Kentucky.
“He can really shoot,” Meyer told the Herald-Leader last week. “He shoots well off the catch from three and has a nice pull-up jumper. And he rebounds — averages almost double-digit rebounds. He has size and he’s physical — a smart player.”
Juzang averaged 23.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game as a junior, missing the first part of this past season due to injury.
