Kentucky assistant coach Joel Justus had an in-home visit with five-star point guard Daishen Nix on Thursday night.
Nix — a 6-foot-5 prospect from Alaska — is one of the most highly touted playmakers in the 2020 recruiting class. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 13 overall prospect in that class and the No. 1 point guard in 2020.
Earlier this year, Nix said that he had been in contact with Kentucky, which has coveted point guards with his type of size during the John Calipari era. Kansas, UCLA, Arizona and Gonzaga are among the many schools that have extended scholarship offers.
Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi recently described Nix as a “pure passer” with “off the charts basketball IQ.” Bossi also said that Nix’s recruitment appears to be wide open.
