Kentucky has extended a scholarship offer to class of 2020 recruit Cam’Ron Fletcher, he announced Saturday afternoon.
Fletcher — a 6-foot-6 wing from St. Louis — has been on UK’s radar for several months, and he told the Herald-Leader earlier this spring that Wildcats assistant coach Kenny Payne had asked him to come to Lexington for a recruiting visit. Fletcher said he planned to make that trip this summer, and he was in Lexington on Saturday.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Fletcher is the No. 32 overall prospect in the 2020 class. He took an official visit to Michigan State earlier this year and has received scholarship offers from North Carolina, UCLA, West Virginia, Arkansas, Vanderbilt and North Carolina State in the past three weeks.
Fletcher is averaging 12.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game on the Nike circuit this spring.
