Two basketball prospects in the class of 2020 that have been linked to Kentucky but are still waiting on scholarship offers from the Wildcats are the subjects of new predictions from national recruiting analysts.
Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans has logged a pick in favor of Oklahoma State for JT Thor, a highly touted forward who recently announced a move from the 2021 class to 2020, where he’s ranked No. 53 overall by Rivals.com.
Thor — a 6-foot-9 prospect now at Norcross (Ga.) — visited UK multiple times while he was a student at nearby Huntington (W.Va.) Prep, but he has not received a Kentucky scholarship offer.
247Sports analyst Brian Snow logged a new prediction in favor of Michigan State for 2020 center Mady Sissoko, who is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 34 player in the class. Sissoko, who plays for Wasatch Academy (Utah), took an official visit to Kansas last week, is expected to be at Memphis this week, and has an official visit set for Michigan State next week. Colorado and BYU have also been mentioned as possible landing spots.
Kentucky’s coaches watched Sissoko over the summer, but he has yet to receive a UK offer.
The Wildcats are targeting plenty of other frontcourt players in the 2020 class. They have offered Lance Ware, Cliff Omoruyi, Greg Brown and Isaiah Todd, and a few others remain on their recruiting radar heading into the fall.
