Four-star power forward JT Thor included Kentucky among his final five schools Friday night, despite the Wildcats still holding off on a scholarship offer.
Thor — a 6-foot-8 prospect in the 2020 class — also included Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma State and UCLA on his list of finalists, and he’s expected to be on Oklahoma State’s campus this weekend for a recruiting visit. The Cowboys have emerged in recent weeks as a possible favorite in his recruitment.
UK is the only school in his final five that has not yet extended a scholarship offer, and the Wildcats’ inclusion on Thor’s list under those circumstances would indicate that Kentucky could emerge as a favorite if that offer does come. Thor will play his final season of high school ball at Norcross (Ga.), but he visited Lexington multiple times will previously attending nearby Huntington (W.Va.) Prep.
Thor is the No. 47 overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
