With five-star point guard Devin Askew set to make his college announcement Thursday night, Kentucky has established itself as the major favorite to land his commitment.
The Wildcats picked up predictions from 247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels and Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi on Wednesday, when it was revealed that Askew would announce his college decision Thursday at 11 p.m., less than two weeks after completing his official visit to Kentucky.
UK already had public predictions in its favor from national recruiting experts Corey Evans, Andrew Slater, Brian Snow and Jerry Meyer, among others. Askew’s other three finalists are Arizona, Louisville and Memphis. As of Wednesday night, all 12 of the Crystal Ball picks on Askew’s 247Sports page were in UK’s favor.
Askew — a 6-foot-3 prospect from California — is the No. 10 overall player in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, though he could still reclassify to 2020 and play college basketball next season.
