Five-star shooting guard Terrence Clarke didn’t waste any time. He officially signed with Kentucky in the opening hours of the early signing period Wednesday, giving the Wildcats their highest-ranked signee in years.
Clarke — a 6-foot-6 prospect from Boston — is ranked No. 4 overall in the class of 2020, making him UK’s first top-five signee since Skal Labissiere in the 2015 class. Recruiting analysts are already projecting him to be the leading scorer on next season’s Kentucky team.
Fellow UK commitment Cam’Ron Fletcher is expected to officially sign with the Cats on Thursday afternoon. Kentucky also has commitments from five-star shooting guard Brandon Boston and four-star power forward Lance Ware, who are expected to sign sometime before the early period ends Nov. 20.
In the past, Kentucky has often waited until all of its commitments have officially signed before commenting on any of the future Wildcats, so UK might not officially acknowledge Clarke’s signing until the rest of their commitments make their recruitments official.
