Dear Next Cats readers,

You might have noticed a couple of recent stories that were linked at the top of the Next Cats basketball recruiting page and were exclusive to Kentucky.com subscribers.

Such stories will continue in 2020 and beyond.

As the Herald-Leader, which has hosted the Next Cats recruiting blog for more than a decade now, continues to transform into a digital-first operation, we need support from loyal readers to keep delivering the quality, in-depth sports journalism that you’ve come to expect.

We are currently offering a Kentucky.com sports-only subscription for just $30 a year, and that package will give you access to all of the Herald-Leader’s basketball recruiting coverage, along with all of our stories on the Kentucky basketball and football teams, other UK sports, extensive coverage of Kentucky high schools, horse racing, and more. In short, every Herald-Leader sports story, column and video will be available to you with the sports-only subscription, the cost of which comes to less than $3 a month.

In the past week, our stories on the 10 most intriguing UK basketball recruits for 2020 and an in-depth look at Kentucky point guard target Kennedy Chandler have been available only to subscribers. There will be many more subscriber-only stories in the future.

Some of our Kentucky.com recruiting stories will still be available to read for free, and the Next Cats recruiting blog will remain a free resource for Kentucky fans, but I’d like to ask and encourage you to consider the sports-only subscription to make sure you get all of our coverage across the UK sports landscape.

Here’s the link to the details on that sports-only subscription one more time. I thank you for your continued support of the Next Cats blog, and — as always — please don’t hesitate to email me (broberts@herald-leader.com) any questions or comments you have about this subscription or just about Kentucky basketball or recruiting, in general.

Thank you for your support,
Ben
