Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi has logged a Future Cast prediction in favor of Kentucky for five-star combo guard Skyy Clark, the most recent recipient of a Wildcats’ scholarship offer.
Clark — a 6-foot-3 prospect in the 2022 class — moved from Los Angeles to Nashville earlier this year and has been on UK’s recruiting radar for more than a year. He traveled from California to Lexington for a UK visit in late February, and Kentucky Coach John Calipari extended a Wildcats’ offer a few weeks ago, making Clark the only recruit to land one since the coronavirus pandemic led to an NCAA shutdown for in-person recruiting.
Rivals.com ranks Clark as the No. 16 overall player in the 2022 class, though he could be due for a bump in those rankings soon. He is also considering a move to the 2021 class, which would allow him to play college basketball next season.
Clark is expected to narrow his recruitment to seven schools Friday, though Kentucky is seen as the heavy favorite for his commitment. There are a total of 14 predictions on Clark’s Future Cast and 247Sports Crystal Ball pages, and all of them are in favor of the Wildcats, including picks from national analysts Corey Evans and Jerry Meyer.
