Class of 2020 national rankings 247Sports

The first commitment for UK’s 2020 recruiting class, Boston is one of the best perimeter scorers in the country and is already projected to be a lottery pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
A tall, long shooting guard with a good range from outside, Boston is also a gifted passer and should excel in a Kentucky backcourt that will have several other highly talented players. The offensive firepower around Boston should allow him to get one-on-one opportunities offensively — a rarity in his young career — and space the floor for more open three-point shots.
John Calipari and his coaching staff made Boston a major priority over the spring and summer, said his Nike league coach, Omar Cooper.
“A lot of kids want to commit to Kentucky. They just want to know that — as much as they want to be there — that the coach wants them there,” Cooper said. “And when a coach is at your game for the whole tournament, they’re letting you know, ‘We want you here.’”

Summer ball stats

Boston averaged 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game during Nike EYBL play in 2019, and he achieved those offensive numbers while playing alongside elite scorer Sharife Cooper.

“I think he wants to be a play-making kind of guy — a passer, distributor — and also a scorer. And that just makes him that much better. I think, once he gets to college, people are going to begin to envision what we see in him. More than just a 15-, 18-point-per-game scorer, but also a four- or five-assist-per game guy.”
