Highly touted basketball recruit Cam’Ron Fletcher released his final five schools Tuesday night, and Kentucky is among the programs still in contention for his commitment.

Fletcher — a 6-foot-6, 180-pound wing from the St. Louis area — has narrowed his list to UK, Alabama, Michigan State, Missouri and North Carolina. He told Tipton Edits earlier this month that he plans to announce his college decision in late August or early September, and he’s expected to take official visits to all five of his finalists.

Kentucky extended a scholarship offer to Fletcher last month while the class of 2020 prospect was in Lexington for an official visit. Kenny Payne has been the point man on his recruitment, and the Wildcats have had the highly athletic recruit on their radar for a while.

Kentucky has extended a scholarship offer to class of 2020 recruit Cam’Ron Fletcher, he announced Saturday afternoon.

247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Snow has logged a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Michigan State for Cam’Ron Fletcher, a fast-rising basketball prospect in the 2020 class.

Fletcher — a 6-foot-6 wing from St. Louis — is the No. 38 overall player in the class of 2020, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Missouri has been seen as a possible favorite early in his recruitment, and Kentucky also expressed interest during his junior season.

Michigan State hosted Fletcher for an official visit last month. Snow covered Fletcher at the Swish N Dish recruiting event over the weekend and wrote about his versatility on both ends of the floor. Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi also wrote more about Fletcher and his recruitment after watching him this past weekend.
