Pendleton County basketball star Dontaie Allen will officially sign with Kentucky on Friday at a special ceremony at his high school.
Allen — a 6-foot-6 wing in the 2019 class — committed to UK in early August during a campus visit. He averaged averaged 31.8 points per game and shot nearly 40 percent from three-point range for Pendleton County as a junior, and he’ll be one of the frontrunners for Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Kentucky this season.
The early signing period begins Wednesday, and Allen will join five-star point guard Tyrese Maxey and five-star wing Kahlil Whitney as early signees. Kentucky is also still recruiting several other players in the 2019 class.
