Seton Hall picked up another top recruit Thursday.

Brooklyn guard Isaiah Whitehead announced his commitment to the Pirates during a ceremony at his high school. Whitehead — a 6-foot-4 prospect — is considered the No. 12 overall recruit in the Class of 2014 by Scout.com.

Seton Hall Coach Kevin Willard also has commitments from top-50 prospect Angel Delgado — who attracted interest from UK — and three-star guard Khadeen Carrington, also of Brooklyn.

Whitehead said at various times in his recruitment that Syracuse, Kentucky and Louisville were among his top schools. John Calipari watched him at his high school, but UK never extended a scholarship offer. Syracuse and Louisville were not among Whitehead’s five finalists.

He chose Seton Hall over St. John’s, Minnesota, Indiana and Pittsburgh.

Louisville landed another top-notch prospect from the class of 2014 on Wednesday, giving the Cards a third top-50 recruit and the No. 2 class in the country.

Evansville combo guard JaQuan Lyle announced his commitment to the Cardinals. His other finalists were Indiana, Florida and Tennessee. Scout.com considers Lyle the No. 12 overall prospect in 2014. He joins point guard Quentin Snider (29th) and wing player Shaqquan Aaron (36th) as early commitments in Rick Pitino’s class.

Lyle — a 6-foot-4, 170-pound guard — had some early interest from Kentucky but cut the Cats from his list before getting an offer.

New York City basketball star Isaiah Whitehead made his Nike EYBL debut over the weekend, and there were plenty of coaches who stopped by to check him out.

Whitehead played with New Jersey Playaz after missing the first EYBL session while competing with a non-Nike team. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard averaged 15.6 points and 6.2 rebounds and helped lead the Playaz to a 4-1 record. They had gone 1-3 without Whitehead during the L.A. session.

The Brooklyn native mentioned Kentucky, Louisville, Syracuse, St. John’s, Minnesota and UCLA as the main schools he is considering. Of those, Syracuse seems to be getting the most attention.
