National recruiting expert Andrew Slater has logged a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Duke for five-star point guard Jeremy Roach, the first player at his position to land a UK scholarship offer for the class of 2020.

Roach — a 6-foot-2 prospect from Fairfax, Va. — is still recovering from a torn ACL that forced him to miss his entire junior season. He has narrowed his recruiting list to UK, Duke, North Carolina and Villanova, and Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans wrote earlier this week that his recruitment is looking like a two-team race between Duke and Villanova.

Mike Krzyzewski visited Roach earlier this week.

Roach

247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels has logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Villanova for five-star point guard Jeremy Roach, the first player at his position to land a UK scholarship offer in the class of 2020.

Roach — a 6-foot-2 prospect from Fairfax, Va. — is the No. 10 overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports rankings, and he’s already narrowed his list of schools to UK, Duke, North Carolina and Villanova.

Daniels is admittedly cautious with his Crystal Ball predictions, especially with younger players. His pick on Roach’s recruitment marks his first prediction for a 2020 recruit in more than two months. Roach is sitting out his junior season after suffering a serious knee injury this fall.

Five-star point guard Jeremy Roach has suffered a torn ACL, according to 247Sports national recruiting analyst Evan Daniels.

Roach — a 6-foot-2 prospect from Fairfax, Va. — is the top-rated point guard in the 2020 class, and he recently cut his recruiting list to UK, Duke, North Carolina and Villanova. He’s the No. 10 overall player in the class of 2020, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Kentucky extended a scholarship offer to Roach earlier this fall, and the Cats already have several Crystal Ball picks on his 247Sports page. MaxPreps.com named Roach a second-team sophomore all-American after last season, and he was also a standout on the Nike circuit this past summer.

Roach — a 6-foot-2 point guard from Leesburg, Va. — is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 11 overall player and No. 1 point guard in the 2020 class. UK is also actively recruiting RJ Hampton, the No. 1 combo guard in that class.
