UK basketball signee Tyler Herro scored 13 points and added five rebounds, five assists and three steals in his team’s 146-136 loss at the Jordan Brand Classic in Brooklyn on Sunday night.

Herro — a 6-foot-5 shooting guard — was 5-for-9 from the field and 1-for-3 from three-point range. He led his team in assists and played 20 minutes as a starter.

Fellow UK signee Keldon Johnson did not play in the game due to a sprained ankle suffered in the GEICO national championships last week. Both Herro and Johnson are scheduled to participate in the Nike Hoop Summit later this week.

A reminder that UK basketball signees Tyler Herro and Keldon Johnson are scheduled to compete in the Jordan Brand Classic national all-star game on Sunday night, with live coverage starting at 5 p.m. on ESPN2 and a replay of the game set for 9:30 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU.

Herro was not selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game, so this will be his first nationally televised postseason all-star event. Johnson did play in the McDonald’s Game, but he suffered a sprained ankle at the GEICO national championships last week and will be a game-time decision for the Jordan Classic.

Both players have also been chosen for next weekend’s Nike Hoop Summit.

Julius Randle and the Harrison twins teamed up with Andrew Wiggins on Saturday night, but it wasn’t enough for a victory.

And it’s still not clear if the four high school superstars will wear the same uniform next season at Kentucky.

Randle tallied 19 points and seven rebounds and was named co-MVP of the Jordan Brand Classic in Brooklyn, but his East team fell 102-98 to a West squad that included three more future Wildcats.

Wiggins and Randle combined for the game’s best play — an over-the-shoulder pass from the former to the latter that ended with a thunderous alley-oop finish by Randle.

Nike announced Thursday that this year’s Jordan Brand Classic will be played at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 13.

The all-star event for high school basketball players has grown to rival the McDonald’s All-American Game since its inception in 2002. Past participants include LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant and dozens of others now starring in the NBA.

Eighteen Kentucky players have been selected for the Jordan Brand Classic, including three last year: Nerlens Noel, Archie Goodwin and Alex Poythress. UK signees Andrew and Aaron Harrison and James Young, and uncommitted targets Dakari Johnson, Andrew Wiggins, Aaron Gordon and Julius Randle (if he’s healthy) should be locks for this year’s event. UK signee Marcus Lee also has a good chance of being selected.
