247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer has logged a new prediction in favor of Indiana for Keion Brooks, one of UK’s top basketball targets in the class of 2019.

Brooks — a 6-foot-7 small forward from Fort Wayne, Ind. — is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2019 class, and he was one of the first players from that group to land a scholarship offer from Kentucky.

UK commitment Tyrese Maxey told the Herald-Leader last month that Brooks has been the No. 1 priority on his personal recruiting list. The two rising seniors have known each other since grade school and both play on the Nike circuit.

Five-star small forward Keion Brooks received a scholarship offer from Kentucky during his unofficial visit to Lexington on Saturday.

Brooks — a 6-foot-8 player from Fort Wayne — is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 12 overall prospect in the 2019 class. He visited Michigan State earlier this month and hosted Indiana Coach Archie Miller for an in-home visit last week. UK Coach John Calipari was in Fort Wayne to see Brooks work out Monday.

John Calipari and UK assistant coach Tony Barbee are expected to be in Indiana on Monday to see five-star small forward Keion Brooks, one of the top prospects in the recruiting class of 2019.

Brooks — a 6-foot-8 player from Fort Wayne — is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 12 overall player in the 2019 class. He visited Michigan State earlier this month and hosted Indiana Coach Archie Miller for an in-home visit last week.

The Spartans and Hoosiers have both extended scholarship offers.
