JACKSON, Ky. — UK assistant coach Orlando Antigua made a trip to eastern Kentucky on Friday night to see 22ft Academy senior wing MiKyle McIntosh.
McIntosh scored just five points in 22ft Academy’s 80-64 victory over Mt. Zion Prep. The uncommitted 2013 recruit injured his knee early in the second quarter and did not score after that. He sat out most of the second period and played about 9 minutes in the second half.
McIntosh acknowledged after the game that he fought through the pain, in part, because Antigua was in the stands.
“I saw him over there,” he said. “I’m disappointed I couldn’t play properly tonight.”
