Herro
UK signee Tyler Herro logged two points and one assist in the Nike Hoop Summit on Friday night, going 1-for-3 from the floor in USA Basketball’s 89-76 loss to the World Select Team, which was led by Duke signee R.J. Barrett.
Herro played 7 minutes and 18 seconds off the bench, the lowest amount of playing time on the 10-player USA squad. Kansas-bound shooting guard Quentin Grimes played 34 minutes for Team USA.
UK signee Keldon Johnson was also selected for the Hoop Summit — and made the trip to Portland, Ore. — but he was sidelined for the game itself with a sprained ankle suffered earlier this month.
