Brents

247Sports national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong has logged a Crystal Ball pick in favor of Wisconsin for Waggener defensive back Jairus Brents, the top uncommitted football prospect in the state of Kentucky.

Brents — a 5-foot-10 player from Louisville — has been on UK’s radar for several years, earning a scholarship offer from the Wildcats while he was still in middle school. He was on Wisconsin’s campus Saturday for an unofficial visit.

247Sports ranks Brents as the No. 23 cornerback in the class of 2018 and a top 250 prospect nationally. He has not said much about Kentucky in recent weeks.

247Sports national analyst Steve Wiltfong is now predicting that three-star wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis will eventually re-commit to the Kentucky Wildcats.

Jacques-Louis — a 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect from Fort Myers, Fla. — backed out of his commitment to Tennessee after the recent firing of head coach Butch Jones. Before he was committed to the Vols, Jacques-Louis was committed to UK.

Ohio State extended a scholarship offer to Jacques-Louis on Wednesday, but Wiltfong’s prediction was made after that offer became public. The Cats are now the favorites on Jacques-Louis’ Crystal Ball page.

SB Nation recruiting analyst Bud Elliott is predicting that Kentucky will eventually land the commitment of three-star wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis, who is currently committed to Tennessee.

Jacques-Louis — a 6-foot-1 prospect from Fort Myers, Fla. — originally committed to UK for the class of 2018 before backing off of that pledge and then picking the Vols.
