Four-star defensive tackle Jacob Lacey — one of the top football recruits in the state of Kentucky — released a list of his top six schools Monday.

UK had been recruiting Lacey, but the Cats didn’t make the cut.

Lacey — a 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive tackle from South Warren High School in Bowling Green — listed Clemson, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Tennessee as his top six schools. His announcement included a note that he would be committing to one of those six programs “soon.”

247Sports ranks Lacey as the No. 8 defensive tackle and No. 126 overall prospect nationally in the 2019 recruiting class.

Western Hills football standout Wandale Robinson received a scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky on Friday.

Robinson — a 5-foot-8 prospect from Frankfort — is ranked by Scout.com as a three-star recruit and is projected by that recruiting service as a slot receiver in college. The shifty, explosive junior-to-be ran for 2,014 yards and 28 touchdowns as a sophomore last fall. He also had 22 receptions for 434 yards and three touchdowns. He recorded a 4.39 40-yard dash at a Rivals camp this spring.

Louisville extended an offer to Robinson, a class of 2019 recruit, last month. He also has scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Purdue and Virginia.

Williams

As expected, UK quarterback commitment Jarren Williams made a big jump in the latest 247Sports football recruiting rankings for the class of 2018.

Williams is now considered the No. 145 overall prospect in the 2018 class, moving up 111 spots after his stellar performance at The Opening Finals in Oregon last week.

“The big takeaway with Jarren is there are very few holes in his game,” 247Sports scouting director Barton Simmons told the Herald-Leader after that event. “It’s hard to find a weakness. There are other guys that are better in any one category, but he’s not deficient anywhere. I felt like he was one of the best quarterbacks there, in terms of his ability to digest the offenses they were being asked to learn. In terms of his comfort level, going through his reads and progressions. And his accuracy and control over the position.”
