      One of UK’s highest-ranked early commitments, McClain should be able to help the Cats in several different ways. He’s rated as the country’s No. 63 cornerback by Rivals.com and the 65th overall safety by ESPN. According to the ESPN scouting report, McClain also has potential as a special teams coverage defender and a kick/punt returner.
      “They really liked my versatility and I believe I can cover anyone,” he told ESPN.com after committing. “I’m happy to do whatever they ask of me in the secondary as long as I can compete and help them win ballgames.”
      McClain chose UK over other finalists Pittsburgh, Illinois and South Florida. He also had scholarship offers from Louisville, Cincinnati, Mississippi State, Rutgers, Boston College, West Virginia and several others.

“This guy is a tough customer showing the ability to deliver big hits on receivers in space. (He) is a punishing open field tackler who doesn’t allow leaky yardage.”
