      Phillips was the first quarterback UK recruited for the class of 2013, and he is expected to be the last.
      Phillips is ranked by Scout.com as the 100th-best quarterback in the country. ESPN has him as the 82nd-best pro-style QB. He had offers from Middle Tennessee and Memphis, and interest from Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, before picking the Cats.
      After UK’s announcement that Joker Phillips had been fired, Reese Phillips tweeted, “Well today could have been better, I guess I’ll be patient and see who they get.”
      The quarterback stuck with his original plan, and enrolled at Kentucky early. He will be eligible to practice with the Cats this spring.
