Five-star center Oscar Tshiebwe announced on his Instagram page Wednesday that he will reveal his college decision on Oct. 21.

Tshiebwe — a 6-foot-9 prospect from Congo, now living in Pennsylvania — has narrowed his college choices to Kentucky, West Virginia, Baylor and Illinois, and he’s already taken official visits to all four schools. His recruitment is widely expected to come down to UK and West Virginia.

UK Coach John Calipari has visited with Tshiebwe multiple times this fall and hosted him for an official visit late last month. Tshiebwe is the No. 19 overall player in the class of 2019, according to the 247Sports rankings.

Highly touted center Kofi Cockburn has trimmed his list of colleges to eight, and Kentucky is no longer in contention.

National recruiting expert Andrew Slater reported Monday that Cockburn has narrowed his recruitment to Syracuse, Kansas, Pittsburgh, Illinois, UConn, LSU, Florida State and St. John’s. He’s expected to begin setting up his official visits soon.

Cockburn — a 6-foot-10, 255-pound prospect from New York — is the No. 31 overall recruit in the class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He will play his senior season at Oak Hill Academy (Va.).

Four-star post player Zeke Nnaji landed a scholarship offer from Kentucky after meeting with Coach John Calipari on Sunday night, the first day of the fall recruiting period.

Nnaji — a 6-foot-10, 215-pound power forward from Minnesota — had previous scholarship offers from Kansas, Arizona, Ohio State and several other top programs. He played alongside fellow UK target Matthew Hurt on the Adidas circuit over the summer and continues to climb the 2019 recruiting rankings with his stellar post play.

Five-star guard RJ Hampton announced on social media Friday that he intends to stay in the class of 2020, following months of speculation that he would move to the 2019 class in an attempt to play college basketball next season.

Hampton — a 6-foot-4 prospect from Little Elm, Texas — was one of the top stars on the Under Armour circuit this past summer and is considered to be the No. 4 overall recruit in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Five-star post player Aidan Igiehon narrowed his recruitment to four schools — including Kentucky — on Tuesday evening.

Igiehon — a 6-foot-10 prospect who plays his high school ball for Woodmere Academy (N.Y.) — said Tuesday that he is down to UK, Louisville, Oregon and St. John’s. The Herald-Leader was told Tuesday evening that UK is keeping in contact with Igiehon, but there has not yet been a formal scholarship offer.

The other three schools on his list have all extended offers.

UK basketball commitments Tyrese Maxey and Kahlil Whitney were both included in the top 10 of ESPN’s new rankings for the class of 2019 on Monday morning, and Dontaie Allen has moved into the top 100.

ESPN ranks Maxey as the No. 7 overall recruit in the class, Whitney at No. 9 and Allen at No. 91. Those three players will be eligible to officially sign with the Cats in November.

Uncommitted UK targets in the new ESPN rankings include James Wiseman at No. 1, Cole Anthony at No. 2, Vernon Carey at No. 3, Matthew Hurt at No. 6, Bryan Antoine at No. 12, Scottie Lewis at No. 13, Oscar Tshiebwe at No. 32 and Keion Brooks at No. 33.

Former UK commitment DJ Jeffries is at No. 21 in the new rankings.

Five-star post player Oscar Tshiebwe announced Sunday that he has narrowed his recruiting list to four schools.

Tshiebwe — a 6-foot-9, 230-pound center who plays for a high school in Pennsylvania — is now considering Kentucky, Baylor, Illinois and West Virginia. He cut Georgetown, Kansas, Mississippi and Virginia from his most recent list.

There has been no confirmation that UK has extended a scholarship offer to Tshiebwe, though John Calipari tracked him toward the end of the summer recruiting period.

UK’s two five-star commitments for the class of 2019 both moved up in the latest basketball recruiting rankings from 247Sports released Wednesday morning.

Kahlil Whitney — a 6-foot-7 wing from Chicago — jumped eight spots all the way to No. 6 overall in the new rankings. Point guard Tyrese Maxey, who committed to the Cats during the spring, moved up three spots to No. 10 overall.

UK’s in-state commitment, Pendleton County wing Dontaie Allen, stayed relatively put at No. 84 overall, just one spot down from the previous update. All three of those players will be eligible to officially sign with UK in November.

Five-star guard Jalen Lecque narrowed his list to seven schools Thursday night, and Kentucky was not among those to make the cut.

Lecque — a 6-foot-3 prospect from Teaneck, N.J. — listed Louisville, North Carolina State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas Christian, Texas Tech and UCLA as his finalists. He is the No. 13 overall recruit in the class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Kentucky extended a scholarship offer to Lecque earlier this year, but the Cats haven’t been making a major push with backcourt targets in recent weeks. UK could return several guards from the current team, and the program already has 2019 commitments from five-star point guard Tyrese Maxey and highly touted wings Dontaie Allen and Kahlil Whitney.

UK’s running back commitment for the class of 2019 has been included in the latest batch of ESPN national rankings.

Travis Tisdale — a 5-foot-9 prospect from Valdosta, Ga. — is a four-star recruit and the No. 289 overall player in the 2019 class, according to ESPN’s new rankings. He committed to Kentucky last month and is the only Wildcats commitment in the Top 300 national rankings.

Five prospects from the state of Kentucky were included in the new rankings: South Warren defensive lineman Jacob Lacey at No. 118, Trinity defensive lineman Stephen Herron at No. 171, Glasgow offensive lineman Tanner Bowles at No. 225, Scott County offensive lineman Bryan Hudson at No. 255, and Louisville Christian wide receiver Milton Wright at No. 281.
