Igiehon

Ireland native Aidan Igiehon has been one of the fastest-rising basketball recruits in the class of 2019 this spring, and Louisville could now be well-positioned for his commitment.

Igiehon — a 6-foot-10 power forward now living in New York — is scheduled to visit U of L on Thursday, and 247Sports national recruiting analysts Evan Daniels and Josh Gershon both logged picks in favor of the Cardinals on Igiehon’s Crystal Ball page Wednesday. Daniels is a perfect 18-for-18 with his Crystal Ball picks so far in the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Earlier in the week, national recruiting analysts Andrew Slater and Jerry Meyer logged predictions in favor of St. John’s for Igiehon, who plays on the Under Armour circuit and is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 14 overall prospect in the 2019 class.

Five-star power forward Aidan Igiegon has trimmed his recruiting list to 10 schools, and Kentucky is still in contention despite not yet extending a scholarship offer.

Igiehon — a 6-foot-9, 225-pound prospect from Ireland — attends a high school in New York and is a teammate of UK targets Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis on the Under Armour circuit. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 14 overall prospect in the class of 2019.

His list is now down to UK, Florida, Georgetown, Georgia, Louisville, Oregon, Pittsburgh, St. John’s, Stanford and Vanderbilt.

Lewis

There’s an interesting new prediction on the 247Sports Crystal Ball page of Scottie Lewis, one of UK’s top basketball targets in the class of 2019.

National recruiting analyst Andrew Slater logged a pick Monday in favor of St. John’s, which is one of Lewis’ final seven schools and a program that has been recruiting him hard more more than two years.

Lewis — a 6-foot-5 wing from New Jersey — has narrowed his list to UK, St. John’s, Duke, Florida, Harvard, Stanford and Villanova, and there’s been no real consensus favorite in his recruitment thus far. He’s the No. 11 overall prospect in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports rankings.
