On Tuesday night, four-star center Cliff Omoruyi cut his recruiting list to three schools — Arizona State, Auburn and Rutgers — trimming longtime finalists Kentucky and UConn from consideration.

Since then, Arizona State has emerged as the clear favorite to land Omoruyi’s commitment, according to recruiting analysts and experts. The Sun Devils already had the majority of predictions in Omoruyi’s recruitment before Tuesday’s announcement, but they now have all 17 picks across his 247Sports Crystal Ball page and Rivals.com Future Cast page, including predictions in their favor from national experts Eric Bossi, Corey Evans, Andrew Slater, Jerry Meyer and Brian Snow.

National recruiting expert Andrew Slater logged a Crystal Ball prediction Tuesday for Cliff Omoruyi, and he’s favoring Arizona State to land the highly touted center.

Omoruyi — a 6-foot-11 prospect at Roselle Catholic (N.J.) — has narrowed his choices to Arizona State, Auburn, Kentucky, Rutgers and UConn, and he took his official visit to Tempe last week. Other national recruiting analysts — such as Rivals.com’s Eric Bossi and Corey Evans, and 247Sports inside Brian Snow — had previously logged predictions in favor of Arizona State.

Major Kentucky basketball target Cliff Omoruyi will head to Arizona State on Tuesday for the next official visit in his recruitment.

Omoruyi — a 6-foot-11 post prospect from Nigeria — has previously visited Auburn, and he’s repeatedly said that he plans to take his other three official visits (to Kentucky, Rutgers and UConn) before making a final college decision. His hope is to get to games at those schools before the regular season ends.
