ESPN updated its basketball recruiting rankings for the classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 on Monday, and likely Southern Cal commitment Evan Mobley is the top prospect in the next senior class.

Mobley — a post player from California — has not committed to the Trojans yet, but his father is an assistant coach at USC and his older brother, five-star recruit Isaiah Mobley, will be a freshman there this season.

Rivals.com and 247Sports also rank Evan Mobley as the top player in 2020.

ESPN’s latest NBA mock draft for next year is out, and it includes a trio of Kentucky Wildcats in the first round.

Incoming guard Tyrese Maxey is the highest-ranked player on ESPN’s board, listed at No. 12 overall, which would put him in lottery range. The early mock draft also includes fellow freshman Kahlil Whitney at No. 19 overall and returning point guard Ashton Hagans at No. 30, the final pick of the first round.

Cunningham

National recruiting experts Andrew Slater and Brian Snow are the latest to add predictions in favor of Oklahoma State to the 247Sports Crystal Ball page of five-star guard Cade Cunningham.

The 6-foot-7 playmaker from Texas recently narrowed his list to 10 schools, including Kentucky, and has been one of the top prospects in the 2020 class this spring. Oklahoma State, however, has emerged as the consensus favorite in his recruitment.

Slater and Snow join 247Sports national analysts Evan Daniels and Jerry Meyer, as well as Rivals.com national analysts Eric Bossi and Corey Evans, in making predictions in favor of the Cowboys for Cunningham, who has risen to No. 2 in the Rivals rankings and No. 3 on 247Sports’ list for 2020.

Cooper

Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi logged a Future Cast prediction this week for five-star point guard Sharife Cooper, who received a UK scholarship offer last fall.

Bossi joins several other national recruiting experts in picking Auburn to land Cooper, a 5-foot-11 prospect from the Atlanta area that has been strongly linked to the Tigers over the past several months. Fellow Rivals analyst Corey Evans is also picking Auburn for Cooper, and the Tigers have a huge lead on his 247Sports Crystal Ball page.

Cooper is the No. 15 overall player in the Rivals.com rankings for the 2020 class, and he’s No. 17 nationally in the 247Sports composite rankings. Earlier this year, he became the first non-senior to earn national high school player of the year honors from MaxPreps.com after averaging 28.6 points, 8.6 assists and 4.1 steals per game while leading his team to an undefeated season.

Blackshear

Virginia Tech basketball star Kerry Blackshear Jr. will take his first recruiting visit as a prospective graduate transfer to Florida, according to a report from Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans on Wednesday night.

Evans reported that Blackshear — a 6-foot-10 player with one season of college eligibility remaining — would be in Gainesville starting Thursday. He is an Orlando native, and the Gators have a big need in the frontcourt next season, though Mike White’s squad is loaded with talented guards and wings.

Kentucky and Texas A&M are two other schools that have received significant buzz as possible landing spots for Blackshear, but no visits have yet been scheduled to those two schools. Blackshear averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game last season and is ranked by ESPN as the No. 1 graduate transfer this year.
