Brooks

The first pro-Kentucky predictions from a national recruiting analyst is in following five-star wing Keion Brooks’ visit to Lexington this past weekend.

National recruiting expert Andrew Slater logged a pick for the Wildcats on Brooks’ 247Sports Crystal Ball page early Tuesday morning. His prediction also moved Kentucky into a tie with Indiana for the favorite status on Brooks’ Crystal Ball page. Later in the day, 247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer changed his pick from Indiana to UK, pushing the Cats past the Hoosiers.

Brooks

The momentum in the recruitment of five-star basketball prospect Keion Brooks appears to be shifting away from longtime favorite Indiana, and UK could be in line to take over that frontrunner status in the very near future.

Brooks, of course, visited Kentucky over the weekend and was sitting directly behind the UK bench — right next to Wildcats signee Dontaie Allen — for the team’s dismantling of No. 1 Tennessee in front of the best Rupp Arena crowd of the year Saturday night.

Indiana, meanwhile, has lost 10 of 11 games and sits near the bottom of the Big Ten standings in Archie Miller’s second season as head coach. Brooks also cancelled a visit to Michigan State that was set for Sunday, unable to make the trip to the early afternoon game in East Lansing after watching the Cats play late Saturday night.

Todd

247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels logged a prediction in UK’s favor Thursday morning for five-star power forward Isaiah Todd, one of the top post players in the 2020 class.

Todd — a 6-foot-10 prospect from Richmond, Va., now playing for a high school in North Carolina — is the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. There’s a possibility he could ultimately move to the 2019 class, and UK is still searching for more post players for next season’s roster after missing out on previous five-star targets James Wiseman, Vernon Carey, Isaiah Stewart and Oscar Tshiebwe.

Anthony

247Sports director of recruiting Evan Daniels logged a Crystal Ball pick in favor of North Carolina on Tuesday morning for five-star guard Cole Anthony, the top remaining uncommitted player in the 2019 class.

Anthony — a 6-foot-3 prospect at Oak Hill Academy (Va.) and the son of former NBA point guard Greg Anthony — has narrowed his choices to UNC, Georgetown, Miami, Notre Dame, Oregon and Wake Forest. UK had been on his previous list of schools, but the Cats were not actively recruiting Anthony when he cut his recruitment to six programs.

Kentucky already has commitments from five-star point guard Tyrese Maxey, five-star wing Kahlil Whitney and four-star wing Dontaie Allen, and the Cats should return at least a couple of talented backcourt players from the current team.

McDaniels

247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer has logged a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Washington for five-star forward Jaden McDaniels, one of UK’s top remaining basketball targets in the class of 2019.

McDaniels — a 6-foot-10 prospect from Seattle — has narrowed his list to UK, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA and Washington, the hometown school. Earlier this week, five-star center Isaiah Stewart — a friend of McDaniels’ — announced his commitment to the Huskies and immediately said that he would start recruiting McDaniels to join him.

Cooper

UK Coach John Calipari was in Georgia on Wednesday to visit with five-star point guard Sharife Cooper, according to USA Today recruiting reporter Jason Jordan.

Cooper — a 6-foot-1 prospect in the class of 2020 — was the second point guard from that group to land a UK scholarship offer, joining Virginia native Jeremy Roach, who is sidelined for his junior season with a torn ACL.

Kentucky is scheduled to host Cooper for a recruiting visit next month coinciding with its home game against Auburn, which is currently the leader on his 247Sports Crystal Ball page. Cooper is the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Cooper

Five-star point guard Sharife Cooper is planning to visit Kentucky on Feb. 23 for the Wildcats’ home game against Auburn, according to national recruiting analyst Andrew Slater.

Cooper — a 6-foot-1 prospect from Marietta, Ga. — is also expecting to visit Duke soon, Slater reported after watching the class of 2020 recruit play at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass., on Monday afternoon. Cooper scored 27 points and dished out four assists to lead his team to a victory in the nationally televised game.

Boston

Five-star basketball prospect Brandon Boston will take an unofficial visit to Kentucky on Feb. 16, according to Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans.

Boston — a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Atlanta, Ga. — is one of the top perimeter scorers in the class of 2020, and he’s also a Nike league teammate of five-star point guard Sharife Cooper, who landed a UK scholarship offer while visiting Lexington last fall.

National recruiting experts Jerry Meyer and Andrew Slater have already logged Crystal Ball predictions in favor for Duke for Boston, but there’s still plenty of time left in his recruitment. He’s already taken official visits to Alabama, Auburn, Duke and Florida, and he has scholarship offers from several other top schools.

Stewart

Washington’s momentum in the recruitment of five-star post player Isaiah Stewart continued Thursday morning with a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of the Huskies from 247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels.

Daniels, who is admittedly cautious with his Crystal Ball picks, has been correct on 85 of his 88 predictions within the 2019 class. Washington is also now the leader on Stewart’s Crystal Ball page.

The 6-foot-9 prospect from Rochester, N.Y. — who plays for La Lumiere (Ind.) — is also considering Kentucky, Duke, Michigan State and Syracuse, but the Huskies have been the subject of several prominent predictions in recent weeks. Those now picking Washington for Stewart include Rivals.com analysts Eric Bossi, Corey Evans and Dan McDonald, as well as 247Sports analysts Brian Snow and Jerry Meyer.

Stewart

Washington is gaining some major traction in the recruitment of five-star center Isaiah Stewart, one of the top targets left on UK’s recruiting board.

Rivals.com national analyst Eric Bossi and 247Sports insider Jerry Meyer are the latest national analysts to log predictions in favor of the Huskies, who landed Stewart’s first official visit back in the fall. Washington is coached by Mike Hopkins, who has a long relationship with Stewart — a 6-foot-9 prospect from Rochester, N.Y. — going back to his time as a Syracuse assistant coach.
