Louisville Trinity guard David Johnson has already been committed to the hometown Cardinals once, and the in-state basketball star has been widely expected to ultimately end up in U of L’s 2019 class again down the road.

Mike Hughes, who covers Louisville for 247Sports, logged a Crystal Ball prediction Saturday night in favor of Georgia. Until then, all of the Crystal Ball picks on Johnson’s page had been in favor of the Cardinals.

Georgia is hosting Johnson for an official visit this weekend.

Class of 2019 quarterback Connor Bazelak landed a scholarship offer from Georgia on Wednesday.

Bazelak — a 6-foot-4 prospect from Dayton, Ohio — is Kentucky’s top recruiting target at the position for the 2019 class and has already visited Lexington several times. He also has offers from Pittsburgh, Purdue, Missouri and North Carolina, among many others, and recently visited Tennessee.

247Sports ranks Bazelak as the No. 16 pro-style quarterback in the 2019 class. 247Sports national director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong logged a Crystal Ball prediction last month in favor of Kentucky.

National recruiting analyst Andrew Slater logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Kentucky for five-star guard Ashton Hagans on Thursday night.

Hagans — a 6-foot-4 point guard from Covington, Ga. — is currently one of the top players in the class of 2019, though there has been talk of a possible move to the 2018 class, which would allow him to play college basketball next season. 247Sports director of recruiting Evan Daniels told the Herald-Leader last week that he expects Hagans to ultimately make that move to 2018.
