Edwards

There have been a few new predictions of note over the past week on the Rivals.com FutureCast pages — that recruiting service’s counterpart to the 247Sports Crystal Ball — relating to some of UK’s remaining targets in the 2019 class.

Georgia now has 100 percent of the predictions for five-star shooting guard Anthony Edwards, who will announce his college decision Monday morning. Kentucky and Florida State are the other two finalists for Edwards — an Atlanta area prospect — but Rivals.com analysts Eric Bossi, Corey Evans and Dan McDonald are among those predicting he will pick the Bulldogs.

McDaniels

247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer has logged a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Washington for five-star forward Jaden McDaniels, one of UK’s top remaining basketball targets in the class of 2019.

McDaniels — a 6-foot-10 prospect from Seattle — has narrowed his list to UK, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA and Washington, the hometown school. Earlier this week, five-star center Isaiah Stewart — a friend of McDaniels’ — announced his commitment to the Huskies and immediately said that he would start recruiting McDaniels to join him.

McDaniels

ESPN released a new NBA mock draft for 2020 on Wednesday — after its analysts evaluated several top recruits at the Hoophall Classic over the weekend — and the list of possible picks is filled with current and future Kentucky Wildcats.

Top UK target Jaden McDaniels is the projected No. 1 overall pick in the new mock draft. The 6-foot-10 forward from Seattle is one of the highest ranked prospects in the 2019 class and has narrowed his recruiting list to Kentucky, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA and Washington. He is not expected to make a college decision until the spring.

Another UK target, shooting guard Anthony Edwards, is No. 2 on the list. Edwards — a 6-5 prospect from Atlanta — arrived on UK’s campus earlier this week for his official visit and is also considering Florida State, Georgia, Kansas and North Carolina.

McDaniels

It could be a very good winter of recruiting for the Washington basketball program.

After securing a midseason transfer from UK guard Quade Green and picking up a high-profile commitment from five-star big man Isaiah Stewart, who chose Washington over UK, Duke, Michigan State and Syracuse on Sunday night, the Huskies are now fully focused on Seattle native Jaden McDaniels, another elite prospect in the class of 2019.

McDaniels — a 6-foot-10 forward — played in the Hoophall Classic on ESPNU on Monday morning, and ESPN recruiting analyst Jeff Borzello commented on his recruitment after the game.

McDaniels

Basketball recruiting analyst Dain Ervin logged a new Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Kentucky this week for Jaden McDaniels, the highest-ranked recruit still on the Cats’ radar for 2019.

McDaniels — a 6-foot-9 forward from Seattle — visited Lexington earlier this year and has narrowed his recruitment to UK, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA and Washington, though information has been hard to come by regarding which way he might be leaning. McDaniels is the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Carey

Five-star basketball prospect Jaden McDaniels will be in Lexington this weekend for his official visit to UK, but he won’t be the only major UK target on the recruiting trail in the coming weeks.

Vernon Carey is scheduled to take the final major visit of his recruitment to Michigan State, a school he already saw on an official visit earlier this year. Carey has visited UK, Duke, Miami and North Carolina in recent weeks and is expected to choose one of his five finalists sometime before the end of the calendar year.

McDaniels

Five-star forward Jaden McDaniels has been perhaps the most tight-lipped top basketball prospect in the 2019 class when it comes to recruiting. This weekend, he’ll stay close to home for an official visit to Washington.

McDaniels — a 6-foot-10 player from Seattle — took an official visit to San Diego State, where his older brother is currently a star player, earlier this month. The Washington trip will be the second official visit of his recruitment.

McDaniels

John Calipari was in the Seattle area again this week to see five-star forward Jaden McDaniels, who is regarded as one of the top five players in the class of 2019.

McDaniels — a 6-foot-10 prospect — has narrowed his list to Kentucky, San Diego State, Texas, UCLA and Washington. His older brother, Jalen, is a standout player at San Diego State.

Calipari also visited McDaniels in Seattle last month and closely monitored his games on the Nike circuit this past spring and summer. He was named the breakout performer of the year in that league after finishing among the leaders in scoring and rebounding, and 247Sports now ranks him as the No. 4 overall player in the class of 2019.

McDaniels

Not much is known about the recruitment of Jaden McDaniels, a 6-foot-10 forward from Seattle who has emerged as one of the best basketball prospects nationally for the class of 2019.

McDaniels hosted John Calipari for an in-home visit last week, and he’s also had confirmed meetings with coaches from Texas and San Diego State, where his brother is a star player, in recent days. Arizona, Kansas and Washington are among the many others chasing McDaniels, who is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 4 overall prospect in the class.

247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer has now logged a Crystal Ball pick in favor of Texas for McDaniels, who’s expected to wait until the spring to make a college decision. He has not yet announced any campus visits.
