Romeo Langford

Five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford is ready for the first official visit of his recruitment.

Langford — a 6-foot-5 prospect from New Albany, Ind. — will take an official visit to Vanderbilt this weekend, his father told the Herald-Leader on Monday.

Tim Langford also said that the family is scheduled to have in-home visits with coaches from North Carolina and Indiana this week. Langford

247Sports analyst Andrew Slater logged a Crystal Ball prediction Sunday morning that projects five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford to Louisville.

Langford — a 6-foot-5 prospect from New Albany, Ind. — has scholarship offers from UK, Louisville, Duke, North Carolina, Indiana and several other top schools. Duke was the favorite on Langford’s Crystal Ball page coming into the weekend, but that could change with Slater’s pick.

Langford’s high school gym is less than 10 miles from the Yum Center, and he attended several Louisville games this past season. He also attended Big Blue Madness and hosted UK Coach John Calipari for an in-home visit last month.

247Sports ranks Langford as the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2018 class.
