Boston

Five-star shooting guard Brandon Boston received a scholarship offer from Kentucky after attending the Wildcats’ 80-53 victory over Auburn at Rupp Arena on Saturday.

Boston — a 6-foot-7 prospect from the Atlanta area — is the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He sat behind the UK bench Saturday against Auburn, another team that has been recruiting him hard in recent months. His offer list also includes Duke, Kansas, UCLA and Florida, among many others.

“He has plus size for the position, good length, impressive athletic ability and can really score the basketball,” 247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels told the Herald-Leader earlier in the week. “When you’re his size and can get to the rim, create off the bounce and make long-range jump shots, it’s pretty impressive. And he can do all of that.”

Boston is also Nike league teammates with five-star point guard Sharife Cooper, another one of the Wildcats’ top recruiting targets in the 2020 class.

Todd

Following a visit — and scholarship offer — from UK Coach John Calipari on Wednesday night, Kentucky is now the leader on the Crystal Ball page of five-star power forward Isaiah Todd, one of the top post players in the 2020 class.

Todd — a 6-foot-10 prospect at Trinity Academy (N.C.) — is widely expected to move to the 2019 class and play college basketball next season. UK is expected to lose Reid Travis and PJ Washington following this season, and the Cats are still looking for frontcourt help through recruiting.

Todd

Five-star basketball recruit Isaiah Todd received a scholarship offer from Kentucky during a meeting with head coach John Calipari on Wednesday night.

Todd — a 6-foot-10 prospect for Trinity Academy (N.C.) — is currently the No. 13 overall player in the 2020 class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, though he has acknowledged that he’s considering a move to the 2019 class. That would allow him to play college basketball next season, and possibly bolster UK’s frontcourt following the expected departures of Reid Travis and PJ Washington following this season.

247Sports national analyst Evan Daniels logged a prediction in Kentucky’s favor on Todd’s Crystal Ball page last week, and he talked to the Herald-Leader about that pick and Todd’s recruitment, including what kind of impact he could have for the Cats next season. You can read that story here.

RJ Hampton

Five-star guard RJ Hampton landed a scholarship offer from Kentucky on Tuesday, becoming the seventh player in the 2020 class to confirm such an offer from the Wildcats.

This one wasn’t a surprise. Hampton has long been one of the top stars in the 2020 class and was actually the first prospect from that group to have an in-home visit with John Calipari last month, meeting with the UK coach just a few days into the fall recruiting period.

Whitney

Five-star wing Kahlil Whitney has had a UK scholarship offer for less than a week, but the momentum continues to quickly build in the Wildcats’ favor.

National recruiting analysts Andrew Slater and Jerry Meyer both logged Crystal Ball predictions in favor of the Cats on Whitney’s 247Sports page Monday, and Evan Daniels logged a UK pick Tuesday, joining national analyst Brian Snow, who recorded a UK prediction for Whitney shortly after he picked up the Kentucky offer Friday.

Whitney — a 6-foot-6 wing from Chicago — averaged 21.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game on the Nike circuit during the spring, shooting 38 percent from three-point range. He is expected to visit UK sometime soon.
