Chandler

There’s a clear consensus forming over the most likely destination for star point guard Kennedy Chandler.

This past weekend, Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans told the Herald-Leader that Tennessee is “in a very, very, very good spot right now” to land Chandler’s commitment. Evans also put in a Future Cast prediction for the Vols last week. Chandler’s four other finalists are Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina and Memphis, the hometown school.

National recruiting expert Andrew Slater has logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Tennessee for University Heights guard KyKy Tandy, one of the top high school basketball players in Kentucky.

Tandy — a 6-foot-1 prospect — received some recruiting attention from UK earlier this year, but he is no longer considered a Wildcats target. He’s the No. 90 prospect nationally in the class of 2019, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Iowa State will host Tandy for an official visit later this month.

247Sports national analyst Steve Wiltfong is now predicting that three-star wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis will eventually re-commit to the Kentucky Wildcats.

Jacques-Louis — a 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect from Fort Myers, Fla. — backed out of his commitment to Tennessee after the recent firing of head coach Butch Jones. Before he was committed to the Vols, Jacques-Louis was committed to UK.

Ohio State extended a scholarship offer to Jacques-Louis on Wednesday, but Wiltfong’s prediction was made after that offer became public. The Cats are now the favorites on Jacques-Louis’ Crystal Ball page.
