Clarke

Five-star shooting guard Terrence Clarke didn’t waste any time. He officially signed with Kentucky in the opening hours of the early signing period Wednesday, giving the Wildcats their highest-ranked signee in years.

Clarke — a 6-foot-6 prospect from Boston — is ranked No. 4 overall in the class of 2020, making him UK’s first top-five signee since Skal Labissiere in the 2015 class. Recruiting analysts are already projecting him to be the leading scorer on next season’s Kentucky team.

Clarke

National recruiting expert Andrew Slater logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of Kentucky on Monday for Terrence Clarke, one of the top high school basketball players in the country.

Clarke — a 6-foot-6 guard — is currently the No. 3 overall prospect in the 247Sports rankings for the class of 2021, but he’s widely expected to reclassify to 2020 and play just one more season of high school basketball before moving on to college. A reclassification announcement is expected soon.

Clarke

Five-star basketball recruit Terrence Clarke has received a scholarship offer from Kentucky.

Clarke — a 6-foot-6 shooting guard — is the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2021 class and joins Jonathan Kuminga as the only player from that group to land a UK offer, which was first reported Tuesday night by Stockrisers’ Jake Weingarten.

UK Coach John Calipari watched Clarke earlier this month on the Nike circuit and hosted the Massachusetts native for an unofficial visit last fall. Clarke turns 18 years old in September and has been mentioned as a possibility to ultimately reclassify to 2020.

RJ Hampton

UK Coach John Calipari is due in Texas on Wednesday for a visit with five-star guard RJ Hampton, according to a report from Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans on Tuesday night.

Hampton — one of the top guards in high school basketball — is the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2020 class, but he is widely expected to reclassify to 2019 and play college ball next season. He has narrowed his recruitment to Kentucky, Kansas, Duke and Memphis.

Evans is predicting Hampton ends up at Kansas, with Memphis as the top competition, though Calipari’s planned visit is evidence that Kentucky will not be giving up on his recruitment despite the roster presence of five-star point guards Ashton Hagans, Tyrese Maxey and Immanuel Quickley for next season.
