Five-star point guard Darius Garland will announce his college decision Monday at 3:45 p.m. from his Nashville-area high school.

Garland — a 6-foot-1 prospect — has narrowed his college choices to Indiana, Kentucky, UCLA and hometown Vanderbilt. He has taken official visits to all four of those schools this fall, including a trip to UK’s Big Blue Madness last month.

Vanderbilt has taken over as the favorite on Garland’s 247Sports Crystal Ball page in recent weeks, and Indiana has been seen as the Commodores’ top competition heading into Monday’s announcement.

Langford

Five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford cut his list to three schools Saturday morning, but he is not expected to make a college decision before the early signing period ends Wednesday.

Langford — a 6-foot-5 prospect from New Albany, Ind. — has narrowed his choices to Indiana, Kansas and Vanderbilt. His previous list also included Kentucky, UCLA and North Carolina, and he took official visits to the latter two schools this fall. Langford has not visited Kentucky recently, and UK Coach John Calipari had not had any contact with the top prospect since the summer, signaling that UK was no longer recruiting him.

Bol Bol

John Calipari is expected to be in California next weekend for a meeting with five-star recruit Bol Bol, his mother told the Herald-Leader on Sunday.

Bol — a 7-foot-3 power forward at Mater Dei (Calif.) — is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2018. Five-star wing R.J. Barrett is the only player ranked ahead of Bol on that list, and Barrett was in Lexington earlier this month for his official visit to Kentucky.

Calipari coached Bol at the Team USA training camp in Colorado Springs in June, but Bol did not make the final USA Basketball squad that traveled with UK’s coach to play in the FIBA World Cup in Egypt, an omission that some analysts predicted might hurt UK’s recruitment of Bol, who had previously expressed considerable interest in the Wildcats’ program.

Bagley

ESPN recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi made an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Tuesday night to talk about No. 1 basketball recruit Marvin Bagley, who is still trying to make a move to the class of 2017 and enroll in college for this season.

Bagley — a 6-foot-11 power forward from the Los Angeles area — has an official list of UK, Arizona, Duke, Kansas, Southern Cal and UCLA, and he’s expected to make a college decision this month if he does indeed get cleared by the NCAA to play college basketball this season.

Biancardi noted that Bagley has already taken official visits to Duke and USC, and he’s scheduled to start an official visit to UCLA on Monday.
